Interesting and Unconventional →
Nirrimi Hakanson, an 18-year-old professional photographer and self-proclaimed gypsy.  Here’re some examples of her works: http://nirrimiphotography.carbonmade.com/  I find her blog extremely interesting - it’s the way she thinks, and how she words her thoughts. It’s no wonder she’s gained so much recognition - 이럴땐 사람이 참 “남 다르다” 라고 하겠지?  I recommend Joseph Y....

Significant?
Insignificant?  What do things mean for me - to me?  In life, I mean.

A Slice of Life on the Shoulder of a Stranger
I leaned on the shoulder of a stranger today when I fell asleep on the subway ride home. I must have been doing it for at least ten minutes the first time; I woke up in a daze and righted myself but when I woke up the second time I felt her shoulder again. I felt bad for trespassing into her private bubble of space. I wasn’t quite embarrassed - for can you feel embarrassed when you’re...

Wondering Why
I feel so awake while staring at this computer screen when just moments before, I was dozing off while reading my book for class. Maybe it’s more than the light of the screen that stimulates my brain to waking up. My theory is that the possibility of mental connections I can make while using the Internet - online, where everything is available at the touch of a fingertip (unless, of course,...

Macbook update.
Went to my appointment at the Genius Bar in Sherway Gardens today - good things and bad things happened. Good thing - there was nothing structurally wrong with my HD, so he helped me move my important files - my school files! - to my external HD. If I lost anything that wasn’t in my back-up, well… they probably weren’t all THAT important (I’m pretty sure I’ll lose a...

Often I
don’t understand why people give up when exasperated. Well… no, I do. But I don’t understand why people do it so easily. Something I understand even less - I don’t understand why people tell ME to give up when they’re exasperated with me and my failures. No, I will not give up! If you don’t want to help or support, don’t tell me to give up. Because I...

It's not a HD failure
Thank goodygoodness it’s not. But I’m still having trouble booting the system, and now all I need to get things moving is my macbook pro’s OS X Installation DVD which David needs to find for me somewhere in his cluttered room. If I can’t find that, then I won’t be able to back up my files and I’ll be left with this gray startup screen with the apple logo and...

Not again.
Please. Technology just fcuks me over sometimes. Well, this time it’s not so terrible… but still; I’m losing a lot of information with the failure of my mac’s hard-drive. Mainly a month’s worth of lecture notes and dloaded music (and DS games, recently). I’m so glad that I at least did a complete backup a month-ish ago, and I haven’t done anything...

i noticed.
that the period is the most effective punctuation mark.  perhaps because no matter what you always get a sense of finality.  ex. “No.”  and even if you don’t use commas. or other various conventional marks used in grammar. though you might sound monotonous and you might not get your point across in the same intense way as the exclamation mark. the period does not leave room...

before i forget
I HATE Achilleus.  ugh. most selfish character in the history of classic myths. or one of them.  so therefore, in extension:  brad pitt (achilleus) < eric bana (hektor)  ukekekeke.

omglegasp.
why am i so obsessed with blue eyes? i can’t help it; blue is my favourite colour and it actually tugs on my soul.  anyway:  http://www.eurthisnthat.com/2009/07/28/have-you-seen-the-crystal-blue-eyed-black-boy/ gorgeous eyes he has. with that dark face his already-pale blue eyes seem even paler, but not without brilliant value in colour. i wonder what he’ll look like when...

UGGGGHHARHARHARHFGARWAEARAGWARARWR
omg. here i go on another rant about Homer’s Iliad, but i can’t help it.  i really, really hate classics for the petty, fickle gods portrayed in the myths and epics.  here’s an excerpt from Book 23 of the Iliad:  ——-  And now he might have passed him or run to a doubtful decision, had not Phoibos Apollo been angry with Diomedes, Tydeus’ son, and dashed...

playing wii boxing ACTUALLY works your arms out.  they’re so frickin tired and loose now. and when i flex like one of those bodybuilders, you can actually see the bulge of my biceps clearly.  it’s kind of gross, because my arms are thick to begin with (i think i’m just stocky in general).  well, i haven’t lost at wii boxing yet. to the programmed characters in the game,...

Poetry of some sort
Cuz I’m taking ENG201, which is a poetry class - appreciation and technical analyzation.  Recently we’ve been looking at Shakespeare’s sonnets done in iambic pentameter, and before I tried my hand at iambic pentameter I thought I’d just blurt up some free poetry with rhyme that goes aabb per every four lines.   So here it is: —————- ...

mixed korean celebs
there are many mixed celebs in korea, and they reveal themselves if you dig for them.  but here are just four korean-american/english/french mixed celebs:  - Daniel Henney (english father, korean mother) - i’m sure we all know this guy.  - Dennis Oh (Dennis Joseph O’Neill; american father, korean mother) - apparently the second Daniel Henney  - Ricky Kim (Ricky Lee Neely; american...

holy cow
joseph’s video (which, btw, you should have edited before upping.)  made me realize just how awkward and ugly i look while talking. lmao.  wow.  holy geez. my perceptions of myself just did like… a double-take. i wish i was actually the way i thought i was.  and look the way i think i look. =_=  그나저나 내 목살 어쩔거야!  아쒸. 그렇게 심한줄은 몰랐음! 엄허. 엄마 닮아서 그래. 아쒸.  why i have so much frickin...
